Hi Octane R32 GTR around the streets of Gatton

Many may remember several years ago the Hi Octane R32 GTR was largely unbeatable at most of the  events it entered in the hands of Mark Berry and Russell Newman, dominating the Dutton rally series against some seriously exotic vehicles, setting lap records around the country and culiminating in a trip to Tsukuba Japan where Mark ran a 59 second time despite only having medium compound tyres in freezing conditions. This paved the way for the R34 Time Attack GTR that is now renowned as one of Australias fastest time attack cars. This footage is from a couple of years back with Mark Berry decimating all comers and reseting the track record at the Gatton Street sprints in Queensland. The car in this guise had a RB26 dry sump engine with about 650hp, PPG straight cut 5 speed gearbox and Ohlins coilovers and ran 9.7 seconds @143 mph in full circuit trim at Willowbank dragway not long after this video was taken.

Turn up the volume and enjoy!!!! This car will be competing at World Time Attack in the Open Class with Russell Newman behind the wheel
